Thank you for speaking at our conference, and for supporting professional development in San Diego. We look forward to seeing you on-site at Palomar Community College. As the conference approaches, here is some information to keep in mind:
As a speaker, your conference registration is complimentary. You will still need to register for the conference, but include the registration code provided to you by firstname.lastname@example.org. There will be a separate table at registration on-site where you can pick up your badge, program book, and speaker packet.
The GSDMC treasurer will be available in the registration area to process reimbursement checks for approved travel and materials expenses. Speaker compensation includes:
Complimentary conference registration and 1 year membership in the Greater San Diego Math Council
Transportation reimbursement of airfare or driving costs, $0.54 per mile for driving costs, capped at $250
Handout reimbursement, not to exceed $25 for each session for sessions in rooms holding 40 or fewer people, or up to $50 for sessions in rooms holding more than 40 people. Itemized receipts must accompany your request for reimbursement.
2) Handouts Every year, a common request from attendees is to have electronic access to speakers' handouts and/or presentation slides. This access is especially important when rooms fill to capacity and we have to turn away attendees who wanted to attend your session. Files should be saved in either Word or PDF format, and should be named as follows: "Last Name, First Name, Session Title". Please e-mail your handouts, links, and any other resources directly to email@example.com.
Every room will be equipped with an LCD projector, and one screen. Mac users, bring your own VGA adapters. If you did not request any additional equipment in your speaker proposal, then that equipment likely will not be available to you in your assigned room. Please arrive in your room early, and inform one of the conference volunteers if you need technical assistance.
